Introduction

This Modern Slavery Statement is made pursuant to Section 54(1) of the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015 and sets out the steps taken by Workable Technology Limited and its subsidiaries (together referred to as the "Group" or “Workable”) to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking in our business and supply chains.

This statement relates to the financial year ending 31st December 2023 and will continue to apply until amended.

Our business structure

Workable Technology Limited is the parent company of Workable Software Limited(in the United Kingdom), Workable Inc. (in the United States), and Workable Software Single Member Private Company (in Greece).

We are a SaaS company, with principal activity the development and sale of a software/platform that facilitates and automates the recruiting and employee management process for employers. In 2023, Workable had customers (small businesses, and mid-sized and large companies), in countries all around the world.

Our approach toward modern slavery

Workable is committed to doing the right thing and to ethical principles. At Workable we are dedicated to conduct business with integrity and maintain a zero-tolerance stance on risks related to modern slavery and human trafficking. To support this commitment, Workable has established and implemented the following policies:

Modern Slavery Policy: We have put in place a Modern Slavery Policy that reflects our commitment to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships within the Group. This policy applies to the Group’s businesses outside the UK to the extent practicable and providing it does not conflict with local legislation.

Whistleblowing Policy: Workable’s  Whistleblowing Policy encourages employees to report concerns about actual or potential misconduct, criminal offenses, and non-compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.  Our aim is whistleblowing disclosures to be handled confidentially and Workable employees to  have the ability to report anonymously, where they wish to do so.

Employment Policies: We have established a number of employee related policies and treat all employees with dignity and respect to foster an environment that is free from discrimination, harassment and any form of bonded or forced labour.

Supply chain and customer due diligence

As a SaaS company, we do not have an extensive range of a supply chain, where modern slavery or human trafficking would generally be a material risk. Our supply chains  are mostly UK and US based companies and include among others software providers, IT services and communications partners, financial institutions and payment processors. It is our intention to contract with third parties who hold similar values and practices regarding human rights and labor standards.

Workable’s customers are required to comply with our Terms of Use, according to which customers shall use our services in compliance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations.

Training and awareness to our employees

  • All employees are made aware of our Modern Slavery Policy.
  • We are committed to provide resources to our employees, to ensure they understand the risks of modern slavery and how to identify and report concerns in our supply chain, our third parties, our customer base and direct operations.
  • Our recruitment processes are in line with local labour laws, in the three main jurisdictions we operate,  including ‘right to work’ document checks, written employment contracts, and checks to ensure all employees are above the minimum working age.
  • We make sure to be in line with Market - related pay and rewards, which are reviewed and adjusted regularly as required.

Further steps

Workable is committed to continue to build upon our existing policies and procedures to strengthen and reinforce our commitment to addressing the risks associated with modern slavery within our business.
